Ramadi Basic School

We are building a new school building for the Ramadi Basic School in Pokhara.

Education in Nepal is very important to us. That is why we have built a school building with two new classrooms for the Ramadi Basic School near Pokhara.

We have been in close contact with the school since 2021 and built a bamboo playground there in 2023, among other things (see Future Playgrounds project). In spring 2024, Nils Siddhartha Wübbena, a young architect and association member, travelled to Pokhara again to help construct the new building. The cost of the new school building is around 875,000 Nepalese rupees (approx. 6,100 euros). The building was constructed in the traditional style with steel and concrete over a period of around 40 - 50 days in March / April 2024. A plaque was attached to the new building to thank the association and the donations from Germany.
